Books Check 'em out!
Hey you, yeah you with all them kids, stop making babies long enough to read this.
Since I recently discovered what an awesome place the library is (why don't people recommend going there more often?) I wanted to point out another good book, this one directed at children. I recently got "Odd and the Frost Giants" by Neil Gaiman. I have to say I really enjoyed the story, which translates to your kids will really enjoy this story. I got the Audiobook, narrated by Gaiman, from my Library's digital download site (RAWKS!) so even if you are too lazy to read this to your kids someone will. And Neil Gaiman's delivery is as he imagined it being read, all very matter of fact. Now that I think about it unless you know how to pronounce Mjǫllnir get the Audiobook it'll be both exciting and educational for your kids as well as hearing the dulcet tones of Gaiman's voice!
Ok I've spent all this time hyping the book that I haven't told you what it's about... The Story is about Odd, the son of a dead viking, who runs away from home and meets a bear, a fox and an eagle and discovers that they really are Thor, Loki, and Odin. The three Æsir had been tossed out of Asgard when Loki was tricked by a frost Giant to steal Thor's Hammer (say it again with me) Mjǫllnir [myol'nir] and it's up to Odd to help them reclaim their rightful places in the universe.
And there you have it good fun for all, there is some suggestiveness but that will fly over kids heads until they get a little older. It's a short read, the audiobook was over in a couple of hours, and the chapters are long enough for bedtime stories. Now, go raise those kids to be decent human beings already!

Also See "The Graveyard" by Neil Gaiman.
I was looking for that one but didn't see an available download for it from the library's download site. I've been reading the reviews and info and I've been wanting to check this out for a while.
